Re: Automatic trans
when the ecu is reflashed, it should shift fine
i dont know for sure, but no one has added turbo on an auto aveo/daewoo yet?
i would think the tranny would be fine, the engine will go before the tranny does anyways

Hah i wouldn't bet on that one. exist3nce with his turbo optra went thru 2 transmissions before he put in the F28 (and those were D20's, stronger then the D16) he actually had to put the boost down so the tranny wouldnt blow.
Im not sure how much boost the 1.6 can take but the 2.0 can take 10-12 psi if tuned well.

i wouldnt switch out my auto tranny since im paying 2k for it
it is such a pain, and i have no tools, no place to work on it and no one to help me, so switching out my tranny is out of the question at this point
5psi should be fine on the tranny, its not like im going to the track everyday beating the shit out of it anyways
can you switch it yourself? a shop would charge you thousands around Florida to change a tranmission

You're in florida traffic everyday to and from school anyways...manual transmissions suck when you have no room to cram gears.

I guess times have changed, when I lived in Bradenton/Parrish St.Pete area the traffic was awful.
