i am not sure a 20mm spacer would tuck. that would be 20mm final offset, and the 10mm difference would still need some room.. it would be worth it to pull it the extra amount for the added lip of the wheel. And no money on spacers, longer studs, etc.

Yeah, I was thinking about that. Your's were +10's and you said they were poking about an inch...so +20 would still be right flush with the body w/out much clearance if any at all. I will just have to order the +40's and mess with the spacing a bit. I may actually only need like a 15mm spacer, but that would still mean longer studs...which is no big deal, they're pretty easy and cheap. I need to find the best deal first. The best deal I found was eBay actually, for $292US for a set of 4 w/+38 offset. The shipping to Alaska is like $270 though. They're in Cali, I might be able to shave some money off that if I pay the 100 bucks to ship it to Tacoma and have my company bring it up. We do a shipment from Tacoma once a week.

als just remember, the casting in the staggered offsets is not 100% the same..

Really? I think when I looked they were 100 a piece. And it's expensive to ship here to AK. What do you mean about the casting for the offsets being different? EDIT: I realize what you mean now, but I plan on getting the same offset wheels and just spacing them differently. I feel dumb.

Just spent some loot on tooling for the coil overs, fabrication will start pretty soon, I have to take a truck up to erie pa to haul it back..

Then order then order some metal and parts to adapt..

What the hell kinda tool did you buy that you need a truck to haul it back in? lol Glad to hear it though.

a fully automated (not cnc, but power driven) 3 axis milling machine. it weight approximately 3000 lbs.


(thats why i kept saying to our friends in other countries if they found another option, i would like to know before i spent money on tooling.)

Well my wife is livid, seriously pissed off.

But over the summer i will have the coilovers, big front brake adapters, and rear disc brake adapter kits developed for the aveo, trying to make some of the money back.

I am also going to start working on high performance engine mounts.

The stuff i make for the aveo coil overs may be able to be carried over to other daewoo's etc i will just need a base model to test...

And i will make some stuff for VW's too to make some money back..

Yeah, with a 3-axis you've got lot's of possibilities. I don;t think you'll have a problem getting your money back out of it.
