Postby Reddemonx92 » Fri Oct 29, 2010 12:19 pm

you would probably mlet your housings with hid, but you can get some VERY bright led tail lights..

what was the premise of him pulling you over? could see your break lights? they were not acceptably red? lack of reflection?

I've used the spider bulbs, they look cool, but they're not very bright. I use SMT Tower bulbs. The ones here with 120 LED's per bulb work awesome: http://autolumination.com/1156_1157.htm

Has to be seen from 1000ft away and the cop said couldnt see them. Las time i tried LED bulbs from ebay they didnt fit right because the locking part was on the wrong way. I just want something that wont burn out quick and is brighter than stock so cops dont have reason to stop me. And would i need like white leds since it has a red lense already?

In MN anyway, if your taillights are at all altered from stock, if you get rear-ended it's now at least 50% your fault. Even if you're sitting still at a stop light.

I've always used red, the whites are so bright that they make your brake lights look pink.

They are rediculously bright. They're worth the investment even in unmodified taillights.
