I had read that before. The problem with the DRL module is the drop from 12 to 6 volts for the headlights. I need to figure out how to turn on the eye brow light and the inside light when driving daylight. Then when you turn on the headlights the HIDs come on. I think that is going to take a bit more effort. Again, once I figure all that out, then write up a DIY set of instructions.

switched power to LEDs through a cut out relay so when you turn the headlights on, the relay shuts the less off.

      kind of like so:

      relay to turn off power

Yeap something like that. I will come up with a diagram and some kind of schematic once I start the install. When I worked on control circuity I would wire a cut off through the normally closed path on a relay. So when the relay turn on, it would interrupt the signal.

Progress to date: I would have made more progress in getting the bumper on and the lip fitted, but it rained for three days straight. This afternoon when the rain cleared, I put the fenders back on the little bits to get the car running. I then drove it around. Alignment is way off. So it feels squirmy/squirrel just driving straight.

I think the back needs lowering about a half inch. Or I would rather raise the front an half to an inch. I got mark II suspension and I think I am maxed out. Any advice here would be good.

      Here is the side shot.

Awesome! like that stance. Coming along great! Looks like Garfield lent his supervision skills to the job.

I would wait until the from bumper is on to determine stance. Since you have mk2 rears. I would make sure your rear helpers are fully collapsed on the wait of the car.

Yeah, it's more than that. I got to put on the front lip on the bumper and then determine stance. I played around with that last night.

Putting that lip on the car really makes it look nice. I think this is a way better option than paying hundreds for a front bumper mod, that's really not any better. I will take pictures and do a tutorial as I go. You can see the modified bumper grille (not finished) that has the removed chevy badge. Personally I think it looks a lot better.

Yeah he hangs with me all time outside. Usually he goes for head bumps right as I am using my most brain power and have my hands full while working on the car. Here is an other picture of him being ghost cat.

The orange ghost in the machine! Spooky.

Did you paint the new bumper? or is that the original? I have a new bumper ready to slap some 54U orange on it for my LS when I shoot the hood for an upcoming 'nose job'.

It's the original color. I will be doing to the full primer and finish on that bumper job. I need to get out the blue paint out anyhow as I want to touch up other things too. Yeah the cat ghost thing is freaky. I had never named the car. I always called it the blue car. My fellow forum members are most welcome to suggest names for my car. I do have a recycle plate on the back of my car. You can use that for inspiration.

Why I have a recycle plate? 1)I simply did not want that sickle moon and palm tree plate as I think most SC drivers are stupid. However after living here after four years, I have added NC and GA to that list. 2) It matches the color of car. 3) I am kinda a liberal pinko commie hippie type who believes in recycling. Hey, it's how I roll.

I might change the color of the car any suggestions there too.
