      simple vacuum line question

This is my first foray into one of these as my sister's car decided to snap the timing belt. I appear to be missing a vacuum hose. There is a barb on the valve cover next to the PCV, but for the life of me i can't find the hose that hooks up there. This is a 2005 Aveo with the 1.6

I am hoping that this port isn't used as I think it's blocked off, am i missing something?

your not the first person to come across this, but some are open, some are blocked.

a little more detail, original engine/valve cover to your year?

This is a bone stock 2005 I am still dealing with this and the damn timing belt tension. No one sells a 42 mm wrench and so I am trying to make it work with Channelocks. Herels the pic. It's the bard to the right of the PCVName: DSC_0045.jpg

I looked into this when we bought our aveo used a few years ago. Ours is (I think) an 05, might be an 04 though, can't really keep all the vehicles and years straight....but anyway ours looks just like yours, and nothing goes to it is what I found through some research on the forum. I then decided to stick a paper clip in it and it was blocked off, it has plastic cast into it blocking it off.
