This was an excellent post. Thanks to Bart R Orlans for starting it. I followed his instructions exactly and had the wiring run, switch mounted and tools put away within 2 beers. See the pictures to see where I mounted my switch.Name: cruise_control_switch_2.jpg

if I ever get around to putting Cruise on Scoots, I might mount mine on the Power Mirror Blanking Plate. (until I can afford to put it in the PROPER Position on the Steering Wheel.)

looks good! I went a more difficult route and mounted it on the steering column. DOH! but at least it was easy to find the wires I needed and attach them. oh yeah and thanks to Shocker for the vid.

Hello, I read both the ancient forum and all threads you have relatives on the installation of the CC but I have still several questions that no Spanish forum has answered me or at least know what I mean and I hope intenteis help me because I would like install it in my car with your help.
How do I know if my car is "DRIVE-BY-WIRE"?
I have a chevrolet AVEO LT PETROL Manual January 2009 and I would like to put it but nobody knows answer to how to tell if my car is "DRIVE BY WIRE" or not.

then I would like to know too (if my car was drive-by-wire) if to put any button on the 2 wires, and this officer as a cruiser or change is necessary to purchase the kit (which I say that Chevrolet Spain not sell anything that does not come with the car or have purchased them I installed them so I'll have to ask GMpartsdirect, if needed)

and finally, huge THANK YOU FOR THIS FORUM, best explained so far about many things in my car that hitherto unknown truth
sorry for my low level of English of google

Take your 2 pieces of lower dash off. Look through the pictures in this topic. Do your wires look the same? If they do, then you should be able to do this.

Finally got around to installing this afternoon. Works perfectly, and I couldn't be happier with the location I picked. Thanks Shocker, and OP for your help.
