Re: Forged rods for 1.6L engines
Mine pistons are 11.1:1. With shaved 2mm head. it's near to 12.1:1 compression or higher. I tried dyno with 285 duration cams customer from uk. 1720cc forged rod n piston output 155hp and 201 Nm on the wheel. I think this info is useful for those who want to go NA. I would say get the 8.8:1 piston a...

Re: Forged rods for 1.6L engines
Is it possible to get a 8.8 compression ratio piston at 81.0mm? I bored the block and using 81mm wiseco now. Just need something even lower compression so that I can run high boost safely instead of low boost currently afraid that the engine might burst on higher boost than 0.7 bar. Any clutch avail...

Re: rear strut bar
Adjustable at the center and it is one piece? I cannot visualise. How is it possible? What I mean is the side which it secure to car, its only one nut, so when the whole bottom chasis flex due to cornering, The bar only secure with one nut may adjust its position due to the chasis twisting force. If...

Re: rear strut bar
The center part makes the structure weak and seems twistable which defeat the pupose of having a strut bar. If they can make a full piece, it will be better. Also why only one nut at each side, under pressure, its twistable also. Should be two nut to be more stable.

Re: D16 Specs from GM
What happens if I changed the final drive ratio to a bigger one? Will it increase the tolerance or decrease the tolerance? My car had 205Nm (approx 151 lbft) dynoed on the wheel and had been running for one year plus without problem from gear box. I almost red line every few day once at least for so...

Re: aveo exhoust 2""
The most restricted part is the header. Its way too small and short before it merge. It gave me the biggest power increase before I did anything to the engine. I would say 2 inch is too big. I am using 2 inch straight through last time. Even with 155hp and 201Nm I find it ok only. Any RPM below 2.5k...

Re: Ultra Racing Install
Yeah. The SUMMIT strut bar for aveo is 2 point per side at the front bonnet. And no cutting of brakets is required. Direct bolt on.
When its 2 point, there is no twisting at the contact point to the chasis. One point is too weak.

Re: front struts
Performance struts costs abt $650US for all 4. Another $120US to ship. Its stiffer and meant for use with aftermarket lowering spring. Direct plug and play, custom made for aveo.

Sorry, I cannot make only one. Its too expensive to make one. I think you will not want it either. Also there is no need for a stainless steel. Why waste the extra money?
