i ran mine through a closed rubber grommet on the firewall by making a hole in it. here is a picture.

ahhh thanks for that link Rabbit, now i remember what i did, look in the 3rd page of that topic there is a picture with the side of the motor where the timing belt is on. Did you remove that engine mount? once you remove it completely you should be able to get some pliers to the water pump easily.

if i remember correctly, there are some hex bolts that are holding the cover on. i wish i would have taken some pictures, but ill try and find the instructions i used

hey bro, you have to remove that rear cover and turn the water pump, it turns counter clockwise to tighten, i did this myself with some pliers, you dont need to order that fancy tool

I havent had a problem since. theres a street i used to be afraid of driving thru to get to the freeway since it always floods when it rains. and now i can drive thru it no problem. it works perfectly. and yes it is the AEM bypas filter.
