Re: Cylinder head rebuild
I have 2 things to say here. 1. Thats pretty freakin nice of you to share the digital manuals with other members here. As the Aveos are aging, these manuals will definetly become a benefit to some of us who are more inclined to do our own work. This said... 2. The situation you put yourself into rea...

Re: Gasoline...
I work a petroleum processing plant and can say without a doubt that there are a crap ton of gas stations that all use the same fuels. BP, Thornton, Marathon, Clark, 7-Eleven, all pull from our terminal and there are no special extra valves and what not. The only thing the drivers control is the amo...

Its not hard, but its alot of fabbing and bitch work. Better to spend the money to get awd to begin with or buy a second awd.

Re: Good turbine for the aveo?
Id love to see a tiny ass turbo like that on the Aveo! Although I would assume the exhaust flow would be too mch for and it would tear itself to shreds lol. Maybe if you just made a header with two ports flowing into the turbo and and 2 flowng like an NA exhaust and they join up at a Y where the cat...

Wow those are pretty dang nice!
Could have used them in my car so that the heel of my foot would not have worn a hole thru my carpet mats and carpet.

Re: Turbo Optra with P&P Headwork Dyno Results
The cylinder walls have not be re-honed, they have not been touched from the factory. As for the MLS gasket, I considered my options for quite a while. I went with Cometic because they are a fairly large manufacturer of these gaskets and have so many applications. I could have gone with another com...

Re: Turbo Optra with P&P Headwork Dyno Results
The cylinder walls look nice and smooth. Did you hone(sp?) it out yourself? Im sure you know what your doing but before you use that MLS gasket did you make sure that the surface was perfectly flat? Those steel gaskets can be very finicky. Also why did y choose to use an mls gasket? I would prefer t...
