Re: Coolant fan isnt coming on
I had a similar issue quite awhile ago. In my situation however the fuse was blown and you could actually feel resistance in the fan motor if you tried to spin it while the car was off. I had to replace my fan and the applicable fuse. I would check and make sure the fan spins freely and that the fus...

Re: Alternator upgrade
If you go back and read the first post it is actually a question of upgrading the alternator because of the amplifier he wants to install pushing 2000-3000 watts. It is illustrated clearly here that it can be done on a battery and without an alternator upgrade. However, as I have already stated in h...

Re: Alternator upgrade
Also, measuring the output is the only way to get the true reading of what the system was putting out. If read on the input side it would be even higher because of the losses/inefficiencies of the amplifier.

Re: Aveo 2.0L Turbo [Everything ordered, now the waiting game..]
strange. I would have thought a rip would cause more of a boost drop than anything. Spiking pressure would definitely be as bad, if not worse.

That's not too bad then, just keep an eye out for boost creep.
Hope you have the same luck he has.

I hope that obx wastegate doesn't cause any issues. I think you should have gone with a tial. They don't cost that much more and are more reliable, that's my opinion anyways.
What kind of turbo is it that you are dropping in?

Re: aveo/kalos turbo kit
is the 09+ ecu the same? If it's not then it really makes that kit useless to you newer model aveo owners. This would be an easy solution for us older aveo owners though, I'll probably build my own kit though. Could be good for hunter though, in what was it, august or february...I can't remember? ;)

Re: aveo/kalos turbo kit
it's a garrett gt15 turbo and they have a pre-tuned piggyback system included, at least that's what I've understood from using google translator on colombian forum threads..hah

Re: aveo/kalos turbo kit
I did a bit of searching and found that they were selling their "stage 0" kit (tuned to 6psi and doesn't have an intercooler) for about $2100us which really isn't too bad for a complete bolt on. Don't know what turbo they are using though..
