Re: Metal Themostat Housing
Here is a side by side comparison between the two. I replaced mine very much earlier when the workshop have the aluminium ones. The temp reading on the dash is not really accurate imo because i have installed a temp guage and whether the water is 90deg or hitting 110+ deg on a track - the needle on ...

Re: 1.6L Corsa VXR turbo manifold fits Aveo engine
do you have a link to the site which sells these as it would be interesting to see how much they charge compared to xioagary, especially if they are a direct bolt on as such The short manifold which i have shown should be going around us$250. The workshop which i deal with do export them out but i ...

Re: Metal Themostat Housing
Just some side info - The 2009 facelifted Aveo5, and newer Aveos have metal/aluminium thermostat housing. And they have changed the stock dampers to Gas-type as well. Does that mean something? Yes, the old plastic thermostat housing has a design flaw which have been know to crack open under Normal u...

Re: 1.6L Corsa VXR turbo manifold fits Aveo engine
I read on Daewootech that xioagary may have had turbo headers custom made? I'll pm him to get some more info. Those headers are custom made from EVO III turbo manifold. Some of us here were actually discussing if its possible to use the "short" header which our workshop has custom made as...

Re: lanos cams
Dun think prices in singapore can be compared to the States. But if i convert the price, i guess i was charged around US$120 on labour just for changing the cams alone. A re-tune from the same tuner would cost another US$100~120 as well. I guess its should be kinda ex, but hey...4 bangers are more i...

Re: lanos cams
I have yet to put it on a dyno.
Low end seems to suffer abit.
But power is more noticable from 3k rpm to redline 6.5k.

Re: lanos cams
Hi, mine's a 1.4L and im running the 1.6L cams. I remembered my workshop who sent the 1.6L cams to be made from 240deg to 270deg. One of the dudes who bought a set fo 270deg cams passed me his 1.6L cams. The workshop mentioned that the 1.4L stock cams are 220deg. I have also check the engine specs f...
