has anybody had any success getting the steering wheel radio controls to work with an aftermarket deck?

There are 3 ushaped rubber hoses with sponges in them. There is also the rubber gasket around the headlamp itself. Last time I used a hair Dryer and Left them inside overnight, and then resealed. It only worked for a couple of days. This is on a 2008 Aveo5. Would vaseline on all of the rubber gasket...

So, i blacked out my headlamps as per the "tutorial" on the forum, and they look niice. BUT there is moisture in them!. I took them out again and dried them out, and I have resealed them with Windshield Silicone on every possible hole. So would the moisture be able to get into the assembly...
