Re: timing belt, water pump, tensioner and idler pulleys

This is why I used a little white paint mark on the belt where 1 tooth met up with one cog, on each sprocket.

Then transfered the marks to the new belt.

Re: impact gun

I'd use a breaker bar on the Crank pulley..

Will the vibrations from the impact affect the bearings?? Thats what I was worried about.

My Hitachi impact..18v will Almost remove Lugnuts. They usually need a start with a tire iron.

It will tighten them up nearly 100% though.

The waterpump SHAFT and BELT COG are mounted to the waterpump body offset from center. So when you twist the waterpump body the shaft and beltcog move inboard and outboard. Inboard loose...

Re: Important: Why your Aveo automatic gets poor city MPG

Speaking of gas mileage,

Re: Important: Why your Aveo automatic gets poor city MPG

Maybe Chevy had good reason to program the shifting as they did? maybe it helped something else? I would think they would have tried desperately to sqeek every last mpg possible out of the car to help lower there fleet average, and let the Vette, or there trucks hog a little more fuel. I could be wr...

Re: Cheap cold air intake for 2006 aveo

I dont think a CAI isn't going to make an Aveo accellerate faster from a dead stop. It doesn't add any Torque. The factory unit is really a CAI if you thinik about it, it draws from cooler outside air. The thing is, it's designed to be a little restrictive in the higher rpm ranges...so there's where...
