Re: Aveo 2.0L Turbo [Megasquirt Problems...]

The problem is that these cars use a positive 5 volt pulse from the ECU to trigger the ignition system unlike 95% of other cars that just ground the ignition coil to fire it. The drivers are built into the coil assembly making it very hard get a signal, even more use an aftermarket ignition system ...

Re: Aveo 2.0L Turbo (This isnt a joke)

Where are you getting the clutch from and how much $? As for blowing the HG on the first night, you should have followed what you yourself said earlier in your thread... I know its really not ideal to run a few pounds of boost with an untuned car, but i wanna see if it can take it, of course i dont ...

Re: Aveo 2.0L Turbo [Day 1 install pics up!]

As mentioned earlier, the stock thickness is 0.051" and it is a composite material with metal rings around the bores.

Mine is 0.074".

The smaller hose that connects the TB to valve cover needs to be internally blocked or removed.

Re: Aveo 2.0L Turbo [Day 1 install pics up!]

I would also suggest ARP head studs while the head is off.

ARP part no: 209-4301

those are the ones I used.

Can be found on ebay.

Re: Aveo 2.0L Turbo [Megasquirt Pics!]

The ECU will freak out about the injectors. Even before it enters closed loop. The ECU has a driver for every injector and if one doesn't fire, let alone all 4 of them, it will log a code and the MIL will come on. http://gm.ws123.net/EN/documents_2006/kalos/sm-t/6t2_1f01.en.html#T1F0EWD9 http://gm....
