Re: kamikaze
It might be an ignition coil arcing. That's part of what happened to mine, each cylinder has an individual coil, but they are all connected into 1 piece so you have to replace all 4 in one go. Mine was seriously running like shit. Runs great now though after a ton of parts.

Re: 09+ ecotec upgrades
If I remember correctly the 1.4 is exactly the same as the 1.6, just bored to different specs. But if I also remember correctly, Europe didn't get the Ecotec engine when the new aveos came out in 2009...they were still running ETECII engines. That and they had the 1.2L engine that I think ran off E8...

They come and go but they're usually never unavailable for more than a month.

Re: 09+ ecotec upgrades
I think PrecisionBoost had mentioned something similar about this a few months back, but it was mentioned in reference to interchangeable parts with the Opel/Vauxhall Corsa w/possible turbo pieces and such being interchangeable. Good info rabbit, we need to research this more. I'll see what I can fi...

Re: tuning world coilovers?
You may want to check the classifieds on vwvortex to see if you can find a cheap set of FK's that are gently used or something...those guys sell everything on there.

Re: tuning world coilovers?
I've never personally used k sports but I've had friends that have. They're nice. FK's are great, nice intermediate level coil that responds well and they ride pretty good. I had a set for a while, I liked them and they're fairly affordable. I love D2's...

Re: tuning world coilovers?
My personal opinion, Tuning World USA coilovers are junk. I used them on my jetta and they were rough as hell. Not only that but I was hard on them one day at the track lowered about 2.75" and I blew the front passenger and rear drivers shocks. They're basically low quality eBay coils. I'm sure...
