Gasoline...
Hey guys... There's a cool thread going on at another automotive forum I frequent. Its about Gasoline, as I'm sure you guessed from the title... Any experts here on the subject? Someone made a LONG but pretty informative post about gasoline and it's additives and I thought it might interest some. Et...

Re: OLD GUY BUT NEWBIE HERE - TIMING BELT??
I think the timing belt horror stories, reflect a bad batch of timing belts on the 04 models. Mine came with a Gates Powergrip that made it past the 60k mark / 3 years, and didn't seem to be in danger of falling apart, yet it was indeed showing its age and in need of replacement. My Car runs in Hot ...

Re: need a new car
Well, you could get another Aveo. I see them all the time for that price. Otherwise, I think you can get the best deal buying from a private seller. Something nice, been owned by respecatble people , and with all paperwork and service records present. That being said, If your going in with all cash,...

Re: Metal Themostat Housing
I got a metal Thermo housing when I bought 'Actovan's Parts bin.. I haven't installed it yet @ 71k. Since I'm writing that the plastic ones been fine all this time, It'll probably break this week. Lol. But maybe not a bad idea to carry it arround on the spare tire well for the surprise time when I d...

Re: Gas mileage gone bad?
To they use a winter blend fuel in your area?
Have a friend drive behind you, If they don't see any black sooty exhaust clouds when you get on it, then your probably fine.
Maybe a calculation error?

Re: Car Broke
What were the symptoms..
Did it just suddenly die out on the road? Wouldn't start one morning? Good to see it happened under warranty, thats always nice. Sounds like just a freak bad part.

Re: Next Gen Aveo
And also how much would you guys pay for one of these???... Let's say, the exact car was on the dealers lot, and you were able to acquire reasonable financing for 99% of the purchase price .. For me 'reasonable' would be around 5% given my credit status. .. What would you pay if it was just another ...

Re: Next Gen Aveo
Wow, dig that last website. I'm sold. The only thing I can see with its design is a little too much front overhang as viewed from the side, but everything else is cool enough that I could live with that. I'm surprised the writer actually made reference to the Vega, I thought hat was cool. In the wor...
