Maybe you should get this one Justin, if it's good enough for a 370Z it's probably good enough for an Aveo:

his issue is he eliminated the button, but stuck then lock in the open position. same part of the car but different reasons why it happened.

hunter you need to remount the shifter to be able to use the button. or figure out the the switch wiring to the ignition switch an jump or unhook the connection. or buy the right knob..
