you can make it work, but it will be mounted higher than the stock knob..
if you look at the side view of the shifter. were the line is machined into the post that attaches to the shifter arm is about where the reverse friendly knobs stop. so you need to find one like that. or you could cut that one down.. and probably retap it.

or just get rid of the reverse interlock
if i'm not mistaken it's attach to the boot and once you remove the boot the whole assembly can come out so then you can even install an aftermarket boot if you wish
