Anyone know how to access underneath the auto shift knob on an 05, my dads car is not disengaging the parking break and i know its something in there. It's intermittant and you can wiggle it to get it to release.

there is two screws under the dash on the sides of the center con. , and it should come up i think with some yanking and pulling

take off the auto knob first if you havent, it seems like a fagile system, might have got stuck or something
