Odometer light stopped working

Postby 04AveoLS5204 » Mon Jul 12, 2010 12:26 am

Hey everyone. I forgot I registered and posted a question here a while back, luckily that issue was fixed and I reposted the final findings. Thanks to all who helped.

Got a new issue. My car's Odometer is working fine, but the light that illuminates the mileage is gone. The rest of the interior lights come on when I turn the parking/headlamps on, but the odometer stays black. I have been having some issues regarding the odometer missing numbers on the LCD (much like it had a bad connection) but a swift tap on the dome of the dash get it working with no issues.

Is the LCD toast and just gone, or is the light replaceable? I have been wanting to pull the lights out of the dash and replace them with red ones, so this will be something I need to look at as well.

Anyone else have this issue?

Pete

Will there be a specific light for the odometer too? I have read somewhere else before that the odometer glow is natural and will stay green. Thanks for the info though, thats what I was looking for to replace the bulbs.

The green comes from a film on the lense. It will stay green.
