i figured i would try this, anyone else want a new intake manifold???

Why would you want another intake manifold?
You will loose the VGIS system, the stock intake was designed to be that way to maximize the engine's performance and fuel economy.
If your worried about applying boost to the plastic intake, dont worry about it, im sure it can take 20+ psi before it cracks. Its ABS plastic, its really strong.

yeah it would hold fine, but i dont wanna take any chances
i wonder if i would be better off just collecting parts for the engine and when i get out of college in 4 years, i could then build the engine up and run a lot more boost

You can put a turbo on, its not gonna do anything, the vgis simply wont work because its vaccum operated, wouldnt matter anyways since you would be forcing in air.

so it just switches between runner length? makes sense with how the engine runs. i have seen many engine that do that.
