does changing the name have to do with the new aveo hatchbak being built at the U.S GM plant?

its probably because if the advertise the aveo is built in the us, they cant just mean the hatchback.

I wonder if they have stats anywhere on the number of Hb's and sedan aveos sold? I assume that if more hatchbacks sold, they would want to keep the model one bodystyle, like the fit for example, while losing the aveo name for the sedan. I have read many people hate the Aveo because its built in Korea, would changing the name change how people think about the cruze and the aveo, and lose the whole daewoo is bad along the way?

Maybe america will see the light when the cruze (same drivetrain, suspension etc as the new aveo) is better built than its american counterpart??

because that is how i see the aveo compared to a cobalt..

Idk, people really hate Daewoo's for some reason. I dislike a lot of cars, but since I've owned the Aveo I don't talk shit about any kind of car now. Because I don't know that car like someone that owns it. So, maybe it wouldn't be my choice for a car, but judging a car without driving it or modifying it when someone loves it just doesn't seem right anymore. People really do hate on the Aveo. I seen a kid in a really sick tricked out Evo8 that was talking shit about me driving an Aveo and he couldn't even drive stick. He was riding the clutch and spinning his wheels trying to get out of the driveway, I'm just like seriously kid, you have AWD and Blizzaks. watch this...

daewoos arent bad, people just dont know that they need to change their timing belts, which they dont do. I do agree that the cobalt (besides the SS) is a grade down from the aveo. The aveo isnt a bad car either until people compare it to cars that are more expensive.

Generaly, people need to stop expecting GM to build a 12k sports car

An import owner doing what!?!?! thats a first :)
