i kanda want the 08 in Blue, the dealer will give me temp plates, and i will register it in NY, but how do i get it fro OH to NY that 250 miles with out insurance?

in my state i have __ numbers of days to transfer your insurance between cars.. most dealerships now a days do this for you as a service, though.


also, if you have the old plate, you can use that to bring it home and only transfer if once.. but that is more gray area.

You can also call the insurance and get them to fax you are temp card. They usually do this anytime, and on the spot.

ok would it be easier to get a u-hall and tow it back to NY?

Easier than driving it? No. My salesman actually called my insurance agent and told them to switch my insurance to such and such with the VIN and had them fax it over to the dealership. Just do that, it's simpler than trying to tow it, you'll want to drive it anyways. :D

definitely drive it. call the dealer ahead of time to see if they can take care of it while you are there.

But then i cant hustle :D the dealer to lower the price if they know i want it 100%

just ask if that is a service they do, it doesnt mean your buying it.


services dealers offer matter for the sale as much as price anymore, they should convenience you as much as they can since your driving 100+ miles to buy a car.
