I am here...kinda

Postby Dan » Thu Sep 17, 2009 6:09 pm

Hey Dan here (y2daniel1981 on the other sites). Just letting everyone know I still am alive. I'm glad to see the new site is starting out well. I have very limited internet access since I am in the middle of a move, but once I get lasting access I promise to co-admin with an iron first and an icey heart, just like at the old site!

As for an update about the cars, the Aveo got totalled (got side swiped on the highway). I'm using the money to fix up the SVX and once I get that looking snazzy I'm going to look into getting a newer Aveo with the ecotec instead of the old etec one I did have (then again the older ones do have a cable throttle instead of the drive-by-wire junk.) As for the SVX, I got a new upgraded tranny and upgraded diffs (4.44) for it along with a QuickChange unit (basically a piggy back unit for the TCU). Next week I'm getting a new windshield and low milage engine (current engine is leaking oil everywhere and blowing oil, 175k miles and I bet has not been rebuilt). Future plans is to get a better exhaust instead of the hackjob "performance" exhaust the last owner put on it, FG hood and JDM mirrors and maybe wing and paint/tint.

You can't believe everything you read on the internet, after all that's how World War 1 was started.

Hey dan, sorry to hear about the aveo but you need an 09 anyways. Come over to the dark side brother. :D I keep hoping someone will hit my car and total it so I can go finance another one at a cheaper rate. :?

Dan, i have been wondering where you have been!

Sorry about the car, it can be replaced though. Your not hurt?
Sounds like you are as busy as i ended up after starting the site (thats why Mike did most of the FAQ work)
It will be good when you can come back, and enjoy the Subaru.

(what is the buy back on your aveo?)

I'm ok, yeah normally I dont think a sideswipe would total it, but since it was on the highway...ya know. Honestly I didnt even ask about the buyback because the thing was so messed up I didnt want to put the time or money into fixing it back up or doing something crazy to it.

i would think a sidewipe even at those speeds would only fuck the body up pretty good, unless they were trying to wreck you (must have an aveo hater   )

lol goddness, i dont hate honda or thier owners, i hate people that love imports and have never owned a domestic car, though it is easy for me to styrotype hondas, with maxwell house mufflers and mutlicolor body kits off a lancer, i just have had the unfortuante luck to meet such rude people

chevy clearly states peoples biased in their newer commericals and i love it
