any time we have a good preseason, there is a slow start in the real season.
and regardless of how bad of a record either team has had in the past, the bangals and browns are always tough games for the steelers.

that said, both the bangals and bears games were close. But the steelers missed enough opportunities, made enough mistakes to not win either. The other teams just played better.
