the factory springs down on the rear beam, did you take them out?

Yea.. This is what i did so you can see if I made any mistakes.
1) Lifted car and removed lower 14mm bolt that holds beam to shock.
2) Lowered beam and removed the 2 big springs in the back behind the wheel.
3) Removed old shocks from the wheel well and removed the mount.
4) Cut the bumper on the new shocks to same height as you did.
5) Re-installed the mount onto the new shocks same way i took em off.
6) Re-attached the shock the the car.
7) Raised beam to put the 14mm bolt back in.
8) Lowered the car but stays at stock height. And not sure if i did everything right.

Maybe this helps clarify my process to see if you notice any mistakes i did.

have you moved the car at all yet?
because when you lift a car and put it back down the wheels have a tendency to move inward and when the car is lowered, it sits on the "edge" of the tire giving a false impression that the car is high
but once you roll the car it then sits in the right spot

your actually @ 1/2" lower than stock.. the wheel gap on the sedan starts out smaller than the hatch as well i am seeing. You say you have 2" of threads left at the bottom and no helper springs? do you still have the helper springs?

here is what i suggest, so your coils are set up exactly as mine were (for the most drop) Take the coils out, wind the perches all the way to the bottom, put the helper springs on, and then spacer and then the normal springs. For the sake of this exercise, leave the bump stop out completely, and put them in. it should drop it as low as mine was..

if that i want pictures, i didn't think most of you would want to go as low as me, so i figured with me running the most drop the rest of you would get where you wanted, but your not getting as low as me so we need to figure out what going on.


i want pictures of the struts this time so i can see where you have them set, how you put them together etc.

also is that with your ebrake on? your on a slight grade that would lift (barely) the rear end..

turn the car around too.

Parents threw my old suspension out. I always apply my e-brake. But its set at 2.5" thread at the bottom not 2". And i didn't want to go as low as you i just wanted to see why its not dropping. I guess i can set it back to 1.5" thread and take a pic to see if you notice a difference.

With 2.5" thread the springs are pretty tight at the top when i dropped it to 1.5 the springs were really loose. this is when the car was lifted.

yes, but follow my directions, i need to see what you end up with, if its too much drop, you can just raise it from there.
