Few minor things, i have to buy the hoses and fittings i need cause i dont wanna run 50 times to the auto parts store during the install, i need to fabricate a flange for my wastegate too. Need to get some oil and a new filter.

The install wont start for at least 2 weeks, my friend is busy finishing up one of his friend's car then hes getting his car painted the week after.

Megasquirt II engine management system with wiring harness and tuning cable just ordered.

Gonna grab a set of DSM 450cc injectors this week also.

Did you research the crankshaft positioning sensor of the 2.0? I'm trying to figure out how your going to hook this all up and the only thing I can see giving you a problem is that sensor...

you can always add one to the crank pulley.

Ill see what happens then.

I also ordered the injectors today. They come with the resistor box which i wont need and connectors, that will make it easy to splice them into the existing harness.

Can the injectors be put on our 1.6L engine? and how does it affect performance or engine?

you wouldnt even need to change out the injectors, but I guess it is better than running the stock ones hard while the new ones wont have to work much at all

Hunter you need to change the injectors. The stock ones suck. The DSM 450cc injectors should fit the 1.6, im not 100% certain, but its useless to put these on unless you have some fuel management and a highly modded engine or forced induction. With a bone stock motor, they wont do anything at all.

The stock ones on the 2.0 cant handle much until they top out, roughly at 150 whp they top out. I know this because exist3nce tried it with his stock injectors and they top out way too fast. That is why he added 2 extra injectors on his charge piping.

You will get a little more out of the stock injectors on the 1.6 then the 2.0 because they share the same injectors. So a small low boost turbo kit with the stock injectors on the 1.6 you might be able to get away with it, but on the 2.0 forget it.
