exhaust question

Postby chad396a » Sat Sep 11, 2010 11:57 pm

has any one gutted or just removed the cat in theirs? i am thinking about doing it to my car so get a lil deeper sound. but not sure if it will just sound bad instead? any help from experience? i was hoping it was jus mounted from both ends so i could pull it off n slap in a straight pipe n c how it sounds but it is welded. so the change would b a perminate one.

If you rip that fat 4" fart can off, do a 2.25 pipe all the way back from your cat into a Flowmaster 60 or a Magnaflow muffler I think you'd be happy. :D Yeah, I seen that under there buddy...

i want to not sure yet. hey now wolfman b nice. that pipe was given n welded on for free by my exhaust guy. didn't have the money to go balls out. i had my guy cutting n welding 3 days after it came off the semi ha the next day after i got it . didn't waste no time. but i dont want to loose any power from it being too open or jus having a shitty sound

not sure how old this post is but I GUTTED my cat and it sounded like crap. It was loud but it had a whistle to it. Biggest mistake I ever made. So now I have headers 2" pipes to the rear. :~)
