some nitrous would only run me 300 or so, just for a little fun, and some speed maybe (could have used it twice now)

if an ecu was obtainable, i would have turbo in the aveo (6 speed transmission in 2011 along with turbo maybe)

Have fun with that. The daewoo 6-speed trannies are hard-shifting trannies and have a lot of horror stories that follow shortly after install. Some people have had good luck with them though.

Which transmission are these? Are you referring to the F28?

10-4. Not that it's a bad transmission, but most people doing a swap usually buy a used tranny and from what I've read most of them pretty much imploded. Now, a built F28 is a completely different animal.

OK, the "Daewoo" part caught my attention, because I don't think the F28 ever came in any Daewoo cars. Its made by Getrag and came in Vauxhall and Opel cars in the early-mid 90's. I'm not sure what stories you've heard about it, but its a decent transmission. I've been using it now for 1.5 years in my car without any problems. People in the UK are running 400+ whp through it. I will admit, it doesn't shift as nice as a new transmission from a late model car, but it does a pretty good job for being 15+ years old.

True, sorry anymore I kinda just roll Daewoo's and Opel/Vauxhall into the same category on accident. It is a fantastic transmission so long as it's built with the correct combo and specs, not pulled out of a junk yard and slapped into another car. I really want a Calibra.
