AEM Cold Air Intake

I have a few questions about this intake...
1. How long does it take to install?
2. Is a 10mm filter needed in place of hose that runs from valve cover?
3. Would the aveo be likely to hydrolock normally, a bypass would not work well on this intake it seems. Hydrolocking is really impossible unless your filter in submerced in a body of water, but would it be prone to rain and such?

You can get waterblock filters, or filters with moisture shields on them.

I never thought about that, Ill have to look for one. Ill just order that mini filter anyways, Ill plug up the PVC hole if it is on the intake pipe.

you can have the whole job within 30 minutes with basic hand tools
and the aem comes with a silicone hose so you don't need to buy the 10mm filter

its pretty easy to install. be forewarned, you WILL hydrolock if you drive through water. i have had a first hand experience 2 years ago when it rained heavily out in my area. buy the bypass filter, you will have to cut your pipe. heres a pic...

Does that work well with the bypass in that spot?

the bypass doesnt really take in air unless the primary filter gets submerged.

I havent had a problem since. theres a street i used to be afraid of driving thru to get to the freeway since it always floods when it rains. and now i can drive thru it no problem. it works perfectly. and yes it is the AEM bypas filter.
