The Ignition Coil Fried in it 2 days ago. It happened driving down the road out of the blue. The dealer had to order the parts from Korea. Got to wait a few days. They are paying for my rental though. It's another Aveo. haha I think its too new for me to be having these damn problems. O-well

truthfully coil packs are serviced parts, beaning they should need need replaced one in a while. you are the first to hit 30k that has the newer engine that i know of so who is to say this can be a problem.
one of the things is possible, based on design and location if any oil ever got spilled during a change, would sit right on the gel seal of the voil pack andbreak that down? arcing it out..
but who nows with only one failure documented (just like my fuel pump) this might just be a case of having the economy built car. your going to have a few bad parts in the mix on occasion.. but overall it seems like a good car.

What were the symptoms..
Did it just suddenly die out on the road? Wouldn't start one morning? Good to see it happened under warranty, thats always nice. Sounds like just a freak bad part.

well the dealer ordered the part. it is on back order. but they found one dealer in Korea that had it and they mailed it here. i was driving n all of the sudden it stated running rough like only 2 cylinders were firing. it was still drivable but i had limited power due to limited cylinders firing. i just parked it n the dealer towed it. i had it back in 4 days. no cost to me at all.

It's nice when you still have warranty. Never have to pay if its somethin wrong at such low miles... Alot worse things coulda happened though. My tensioner on the serpent belt broke at 30k miles aswell...
