Re: Auto Tranny shifting
tried it today, it does not hold a gear, but insted turns it into a one gear gearbox, maybe something when wrong when I had the whole front end replaced on my car?

Re: Auto Tranny shifting
I will try to take a video to show you what I mean...I might just be using the incorrect words.
For instance...
I am in D4 (Overdrive) fully stopped. I shift the tranny to 1st, and activate the HOLD mode (HOLD light appears in dash). I floor the gas...RPMs go to 6000 and bounce there (around 40 to 45 MPH), then I move the lever to 2. Repeats till it tops out again (70 MPH and 6000 RPM), then to D4. You can repeat, but to shift to 4th, you remove the HOLD mode when the lever is in D4.
You said you have some work done to the front end, its possible something was messed with. Also, I have only driven my 2004. I am pretty sure the 2005 and 2006s are the same, but 2007 on I am not sure due to Chevy redesigning the vehicle.

The hatchback didn't change any in design in 07, just the sedan.
