and if they see it, they know your fake! It would be cool to buy one and see how it sounds though, might try it out, that way I know ahead of time :P they even make fake blow of sound things that go off when your tranny goes into another gear :ugeek:

you can buy a base package t3t4 turbo kit for $399 shipped on ebay.. i would put that on and change the injectors add a wide band for tuning and call it a day..

i am thinking about it myself.. not the way i want to go but a t3t4 would be vw oriented which is where i was leaning, and swapping out to a 2.0 block and getting correct compression i could rewire the with a vw 1.8t harness and computer and then buy a chip set to my configuration with immo defeat, and be cheaper than standalone and still have obd2 port for emissions..

$400 turbo kit, $400 used wiring harness sensors, $100 1.8t computer +$5-600 tuning), $200 wide band, $100 welding flange (diy here)

so for about $1800-2000 (plus labor for some of you) you could have an "oem" style turbo set up.. wolf has a 1.8t swapped car.. what do yu think?

Or just do the cobalt ss swap.

Yeah, I did a 1.8T swap in my Jetta Coupe'. The 1.8T has more get-up-and-go than most of you need, and mine is a stock VW setup from a newer model Golf. There are lots of upgrades out there for the 1.8T. It's pretty simple. VW actually makes the harness damn near idiot-proof it's so easy. It might seem overwhelming, but once you have your motor out it flies right by. The hardest part would be tuning, which I know very little about. Idk about applying a 1.8T harness to a 2.0 Daewoo motor, that's over my head...your knowledge far surpasses mine rabbit. It does seem very do-able though. If this guy that did the "Green Monster" is finally selling his motor mounts and wiring harness, then the Cobalt SS swap might be more realistic for some people. I can guaranty you will find a 1.8T motor cheaper than a Cobalt SS motor though, simply because they are so plentiful.

That's probably man-hours and labor included though. It is a sick car. If I could afford the insurance I might've considered it, but not even close.

That only works if the accident isn't you fault.

That's not a bad deal but the rest of the car just isnt my style.
