On my stock wheels I've had wheel chirp into 3rd. My 17's with Cooper ZPT's though got amazing bite, usually got a chirp into 2nd and she was gone.

I have red lined in my old 06 Aveo in all but 5s, that's why I said a while ago that I am going to treat this one better. but the engine on the 09 seems to be a lot better so far. I am doing a synthetic change soon too. I have cooper winter tires and they are great .

I just don't worry about it. I don't have to fix it. :D I know that's messed up, but I bought the extra warranty so...the only thing not covered on my car is clutch or break pads, unless it's a manufacturer defect.

good point. I did also get extended warranty, thought I might as well because it was 0% financed.
witch brings up a question about what you are aloud to do and what you are not aloud to do on a GM car to avoid voiding warranty?

I only do it now and then but a few time did not hear it. Because I play the radio loud. My drive I see rev ave of 2500 , 2800-3000 rpm on the low side 1800 - 2200 RPM I try to keep it under the 3000, most of the time to save gas so just under 3000 RPM on 14" steelies.
no extra warranty

The rev limiter sux on the 1.6, i hated mine its "slow" so if your foot is on the floor and you hit the limiter and you dont release your foot, the car slows down a little then goes again then slows down again, so you basically lose speed when you hit it.

On the 2.0 its "fast" meaning you retain the speed your going at when you hit the limiter, i like that better lol
