its legal. but you would need to see what is involved in the car. i think in the aveo you would need to bypass the nuetral safety switch, and add a three pedal cluster with the clutch release switch, then add to the hydraulic system for the clutch, change the computer, axles, flywheel, shifter linkage and center console. thats just off the top of my head.

i have seen it done on cars as new as 2004, but not an aveo.

i couldn't even begin to try to add up the parts prices, you would be best off to buy a wrecked manual aveo, or one with a blown engine to make sure you get everything you need.

Not worth the trouble. You need everything from pedals, booster, transmission, manual ECU, vacuum lines, labor...and hair transplant.

Or just exchange the Aveo for one with a manual transmission.

lol yeah, there aint nothing wrong with an auto though, not like you are gonna run a second faster in it anyways :P

autos are cheaper in the long run, espcailly when you need a new clutch

That was something you should have thought about when you bought the car, auto or manual? The manual will give you better times if you’re a good shifter and you can add performance clutch, but is it worth the money? Only you can say.

if you just want to see what is involved and not a platform concern, check this link:

you have to read to the end though, because it is not all in the first post.
