Not sure if this has ever been brought up any inputs on throttle body spacers?
I know a few people that say they help but I know none are made for the aveo. I just want to know if there is any way to make one and is it worth getting?
This is a new idea for me not really familiar with the spacer.
Any info is good and trying to bring life to the forum a bit lol

you could make one, just a 2d cad drawing of the gasket with a thickness..
the engineering aspect of it would be difficult to determine what length would be the best benefit.
"porting" your throttle body is a good idea though.
im not sure this would create hp though?

Thats why i was looking into it and posted it on here for some info.
I hear rumors that it helps fuel economy and has HP gain because it allows more air into the engine for better response. Its suppose to relief struggle on the engine to push air.

i can see it working on the 1st gen but the 2nd gen with computer controlled throttle and such the computer will probably compensate for any changes.

I was thinking that the 2.0 was different as well. It just seemed like a easy mod to do to see if it really increases hp. Have to do more research on this though to see if it does produce hp.

the more you open up the restrictions, the better of a "pump" the engine becomes. that = hp.
with a cai, the most restriction is the throttle body and then the intake. if you can get those opened up enough. then the valve will be the restriction. (which it should be), then cams etc will work to their max efficiency.

I know the 2.0L throttle body is 2.5 inches outside diameter.
The 2.5 inch couplers from my turbo setup fit right on and they are nice and tight on the throttle body.
The 1.6's is smaller, as far as how much modification it is to fit the 2.0L's on the 1.6, i have no clue, but i've seen it done on daewootech i think.
