ive been wondering about the legalities of that, easily convert it to our crash standards, but emissions loopholes were closed, you would need a new-(like bought from dealer) us approved engine put in by a shop n the us importers list along with adding any and all other us emissions equipment. would run into like $10k..

or bring it as a rolling shell, without an engine, and scrub switch the vin plates,...illegal but doable.

this is one bonus of the uk we can import any car as standard or tuned even. As long as it's registered taxed and passes an mot you can legal have pretty much any car in the uk, just a nightmare getting insured on any imports though lol

Yeah, that does suck. I don't have IM's here anymore. Maybe I should import a rolling shell and just put a 2.0 in it? Oh, the possibilities... :roll:
