lowering springs

Postby Jason2009 » Mon Sep 28, 2009 10:11 pm

OK so what's the best set of springs out there for our Aveos. I've seen a few different ones and am just wondering if they are all the same or is one better than the others. I'm really wanting to improve the handling of my car and this would be a good first step I think.

If you rev it, it will go!

apex and ebiach make good springs, not many options, but those are your best bet

i have H&R, what kind of ride do you want? the H&R are still smooth, not to bouncy or stiff.

i can't speak for any of the other ones. but i am happy with mine.

It would be nice not to get a real rough ride...just improve the cornering, body roll etc. The ultra racing bars are in the future I just can't see spending all that right now.

I've got intrax and my wife has the H&R, there's no huge difference between them, intrax seam to sit a little lower. I'm betting that for a daily driver there all close to the same.

Ok just to clarify then....08 and 09 have no difference spring wise. On Ebay most HR springs (and others) are listed up to 08.

The drop levels between all the different springs is in the FAQ.

Yeah I saw that Thanks for putting that together Wolf.

I was more refering to the year in my previous post.. I think the H&R ones are the ones I'm leaning towards.

Stock struts are ok with these springs right? I've seen some people change them and some don't. I prefer not to change and I am kinda wondering what the advantage of changing them is and what do I know what to get if I decide to change them later.

I'm gonna stick with my stock rims/tires for now. Don't suppose there is a problem with that. Looks like there is plenty of room for a 1.5 inch drop.
