OK I'm new at this coilovers stuff. Do we use the lowering sport springs we have or ?. I would like to drop the rear more but not sure about the front. Wont the front drop when the rear is lowered?

actually, lowering the rear only give the effect that the front goes up, because in front of the tire raises with the tire as the pivot.

the coil overs are self contained, they come with springs and struts in one unit. you can adjust them anywhere you want, i have not attempted to put mine to stock height (or close to it yet) but i have been meaning to. Just to show/see it can go all the way up with issues. An to show buyers how high it can really go.

it can go up, there are lots of threads left, but why would you want to ?

the rear i ran into getting low enough i swapped mk1 vw coilovers on to the rear of my own car. (keeping the mk2 in front).

so that the wheels will simply be overwritten on an arch with a height ..... I h & R -40 and I have in front of another 2-3 inches and then lay down on the wheel arch. Today, I do photo that you would understand

From the specs and pics i see your wheels should tuck nicely. One question though: Why would you have such skinny tires in the front? Fitment maybe?

its european.. so skinny fronts is common.. it allows side wall without the added width for clearance.

mk1 rears are shorter versions of mk2 rears. but @ 4"? so all the way down on mk2 coilovers = all the way up on mk1 coilovers. for those of us (me) who wanted really low. The mk2 coilovers got the car to about an inch of where i am now, but also they were adjusted all the way down, you could only go up from there.

so

#1. YES mk2 coil overs can go front and rear. wou need to follow the DIY here though, as some modifications are needed.

#2. not sure what difference you are looking for? of the ride height? i am probably about 100-120 mm lower than stock.. i havent been stock height in 3 years, so i cant say what it was before i put these on.

#3. the dar Works replicas, drag dr20 wheels. staggered offset.
