Air Bags

Postby XJCasper » Sat Apr 10, 2010 6:37 pm

Need some input:

More rubber or less?

Would it be recommended to go 15, 16, or 17'? with a bagged aveo?

Or is it just personal choice?

Thanks guys

F you want to lay frame you will need small enough wheels and tires to do that.

Yea but for a nice very low look id go 15s....right offsets also contribute to how low you go.

No, no, no...

Our cars would wear right through the floorboard.
My brother has f...ed up his truck SO bad, it is down to replace the bed and some some other metal.

I just want a comfortable up and down to mess around.
There is a local set of Toyo Proxis at the 195/45-15 for $175

I am running some 16's with 205/45-16's. the offset in the front pushes out the the fender too much.

Thinking of getting some 15's, or replace the 16's, with something that has a 40 degree offset and adding a 5 mm spacer in front and a 25mm in back.

Assuming when u say 40 degree u mean mm the fronts with spacers should be ok but id do a 3mm first which wud make overall front offset 37mm instead of 35mm.

with the rears your looking at 15mm offset which might require some pulling of the fenders. but its all about what u what to do. I think rabbit was running a +20 offset and pulled his rears 1/2in or an inch cant remember.

my rims are +35 in the front (thanks to a 5mm spacer) and +10 in the rear.

they stuck out over an inch before i pulled the fenders, i moved the fender out that much, its not a finished job yet, but once finished, they will not rub at all. they currently only rub on off camber dips, or speed bumps (going over curbs into driveways)..

My bad i was a lil off but heres where i got my info its in his build thread.

go with fifteens if you wanna go side to side or a skinny 16 cause i cant go side to side without rolling my fenders and i wanna go down to a 15 to get the lower look . like mine is pretty low for an aveo but not low enough to fool people that i dnt have just lowering springs

Thank you guys.

I will push forward with the smaller wheels, as I find good deals or trades.
