The first one to goin, I think will be the back seat one. I think I may paint them black.

Ok testing out the rear seat bar For the Hatch back . The first test is with the bar in the same place as one_man_jam put his, This mount them very close to the seat. Not to bad if you still want to use the back for stuff. I have done nothing to SUP yet but that bar. I have some pics to show three places you could mount. I do think that a plate would help a bit for the harder road worriers. have it pretty tight but I see a 1/8 gap where the bar contacts. So I think a spacer is needed for there. The test road is on the way to work. It's a S curve .

It is bit of a improvement. I think the seat belt bolt if it fits, would be the best location. Ithink the end's need a spacer or plate to bolt to.

looks good :D . I was thinking the same when i mounted mine. wasn't really sure which point to use so i used the one that allowed a good use of the trunk area. essentially i think any of the mounting points shown would provide the same amount of support for the rear. let us know if you feel any differences with the different locations :)

you should want the point closest to the upper strut mount..

Yes I would have to agree with you Petrified.Rabbit. But since this bar does not tie in to the tailing axle of the struts mounts. As the Europe Daewoo hatch back This is to tie the left side and the right side of the car to each other since the Hatch does not have anything but the split rear seat in the back to do this, as the none Hatch has a steel shelf to connect the car in the middle of the floor and the roof.
The bar is to help with flex in the upper side to side twisting. Now if you put another bar that was lower or connect to the tailing axle on the inside that would help even more. Now one of the best would be the bar down low tied in the tailing axle strut mounts & an X tied in side to side & to the roof but then you do not have a trunk any more. Hear a pic to show something like this.
