They are a set of Xxr 522's, 15 inch chromium black color.

i have not seen anyone that i know or around here with these wheels yet and i think they would make the aveo stand out a little.

i was actually going to buy those for my ae86, but decided i would stick with old school and no body kit..

if you do 15x7 in front you will be just past flush (10mm), i would say a little stretch?? but your talking tire from bfi..

in the back i "think" you will be fine. im running a +10 mm offset, with some 1/4 work. pulling the in 15mm would only mean they fit better, right? but unless you want to roll/pull your 1/4 i cannot guarantee a fit..

here is what i do.. do you have a 90* angle? (piece of card board would work). ( i have an old L square) put it against the hub, with the L coming out at the wheel well top.. mark the inches of space you have before you hit the lip of the car..

on a 7" rim, the is 3.5" to center (0 offset), so converting 3.5" to mm by multiplying by 25.4 = 88.9mm

88.9mm is center of the tire mounting surface (7" advertised rim)

since you have a +25 offset. you have 63.9mm face ( 88.9-25= ) and a 103.9 rare (88.9+25=) spacing..

your more worried about the face.. 63.9 mm divided by 25.4 = 2.516" out from the hub..

but remember, a 7in rim is actually 7 3/4"-8" wide lip to lip.. so you have @ 3" from the face of the hub to the edge of the rim.

so put a true 90 on the hub and if you have 3" clearance, the rims will fit. i could offer to help. but my car is pulled for 10mm offset..

another think to consider (if you have an L square.) is the size of the tire/wheel..

if your going to have a 195/50r15, the tires radius is @ 11.5-12" i am guessing, so positioning that number on the "center" of the hub will tell you where the edge of the tire would be. But you need to preload the suspension to ride height etc for it to work.

i understand the offset issue now, those wheels would not fit so they are out... PLAN B!!

Xxr 513, 002, or 501 is the next plan but which one??

they would be black with the machined lip...

anyone have an opinion?

scratch that. a +25 offset with a spacer is actually making the offset lower. i understand now. so i +25 offset with have the wheel and tire sticking out. +35 will bring the whole wheel in another 10mm which is correct. the only need for a spacer is if the offset was well over what your telling me is recommended.

i called Xxr today and the 522's are not made at what they recommend for the aveo as a +38.

so now im looking at the Xxr 513's, 002's, and and 501's... they would be in black with the machined lip... any ideas on what i should get?

have you though about rota rb? konig b bomb? or inovit ke10?

the rota and konig are single lug versions of the xxr wheels, the inovit is the 522 design in a usable size.

i had troubles picking so i asked my dad ha ha and its the banana spoked 513's in black that i am going to get. so those wheels in 15"x7" with the closest wheel to the stock radius which is only .1" smaller. +38mm is the recommended offset but i might go with a +35mm just to get the look i want. thanks for all the help with the offset lesson and easy measurements.

do the 35, my fronts are 35, youll be fine as long as the caliper clears the spokes.

this is the final decision as of now.

15x7 with a +40 offset.

what do you think?
