oh ok got ya. well the spacer solved my springy squeak problem. Now i just need to rebuild my struts, new springs but no rush on that.

btw rabbit which type of springrate should i go with linear or progressive? im thinking linear spring would be a better setup but like i said i only have limited knowledge and the internet to search through.

So you did what I did Swagg? And you should add it to the DIY thing so other people dont have that problem. I think it is only a problem on the sedan and not the hatchbacks

it seems like a sedan issue to me.. but when it gets warmer i am going to check to see how close mine are to tapping.. its noted in this thread though as the whole thread is reference. not just the first post.

about the spring rates. you need to know what you have now, and whether you want softer or harder.

I could guess, but i would want to look at what mine are right now first.

@Red No i read your problem and added washers to space the top of the shock. mimicking the stock shock above the mount.

As for the hole i need to drill, my pistons/rod are longer due to adjustable rebound so i need to make an access hole so i don't have to drop the rear suspension to change the rebound.

@Rabbit Yea i need to check with Koni on that.

Petrified.Rabbit wrote:so your running koni coilovers? that makes a big difference versus the rokkor/raceland. You can send konis out to be rebuild and such, unlike the others. BUT it is still a cost option. If they are adjustable, then you should be able to find a sweet spot you like.

...

which konis do you have, i will look into specs for you.

Ok so i took the konis off and searched the authorized rebuilders and they are askin 700+ for what i want.

SOoo im tryin to either find a less expensive revalve or sell the konis dirt cheap and get some BC racing coils they make them for the swift+ too so maybe they would use stock rear spring locations.

Any Ideas???

I wrote them to see if they would be able to do what i need but for now im saving for bc racing kit. Seems better for the height i want {or lack 8-)}.

Anymore suggestions?

do your coil overs have inserts in them?

you could replace the inserts with bilsteins or something?
