I got a cam with my Stereo, but never hooked it up. If I would have I'd mount it in my bumper.

I have one for my aveo, just haven't installed it yet. I just bought one that bolts with your liscence plate bolts at the top of your liscense plate.

With my alarm system I can add remote door openers and that includes the hatch. You could go that rout, then you wont need the key anymore.

I love my touch screen, the DVD player and the sound is A++++
Just have to up grade the speakers to handle the extra power.
