Just a nice SQ install

Postby C3Customs » Thu Nov 12, 2009 12:01 pm

OK, nobody gets too crazy about a Mazda 5. But wait until you see what the owner/builder of this vehicle did to the inside of the vehicle. That's where the real customization took place, transforming this middle-class ride into a high class sound machine. After you see the feature, read the how-tos.

From Mazda 5 to SQ-X

Let me know your thoughts....

ugly colors, and why do the import boys have to have the gauges in the middle?

its not as bad as the kia racing mini van, which had kia racing logos all over it, but was stock with hood LEDs...

Wow...someone put a lot of love into that car. Personally if I had to roll in something that looked like a mini-van this would be it. The audio system is beyond insane. Touche'.

Wow that is pretty nice. I have a buddy that tuned his new ford van, he has a hood scoop, cold air intake, performance exhaust, neon inside and out, led glowing floor boards, I think 20in rims, and I'm sure he has done a lot more to it from the last I saw him. Vans can look pretty nice once they get a tuner's touch put into them, I myself will stick to my aveo ;)

I think that install itself was nice, I think that the build appears more expensive(commercial) then it should be.
My thoughts:

1. There is no reason to by a 6k component set if you are going to run it passive when a 500-1k 3-way system will sound the same run passively, he should have run the component set active.

Active setup is 1ch/speaker; amplifier->speaker
Passive setup ; amplifier->crossover->speaker

2. Running hi-end pear cable products for a passive build, no real benefit will be seen when you are using a stock alt to charge 3 optima yellow tops (over working your alt).
3. Not investing in a h/o alt, no excuse for that. As we all know that power comes from the alt not the batteries.
4. Better equipment amp/speakers are available for the money spent.

Just my thoughts on the build...

NICE. Love the install. Could live with the colors.

But I don't care for that ride.

I liked the Protege 5's, but can't stand that mini van looking thing.
Is ti supposed to be a mini-van? They look too small.

Oh yeah, one more thing...

NICE build.

When I catch back up with life, might have to drop more cash that way
