Hehe I had a 93 Grand Am with a wall of 10-10 inch subs (Memphis Mojo powered). After driving that everyday not much will compare. I like having it loud enough my shirt looks like a wave machine while driving  . I think since I want to keep my backseats, Im going to have to settle for a system that will only be 1000 rms, not much for hatch space in these lil guys. I will definitely post pics once finished tho

You can always go with more power just means they will have to get beefier subs that can handle more power so that you can use fewer to get the job done. And smaller/powerful amps like soundigital, stetsom to work in the confined space of the hatch trunk.

its amazing what ppl think is needed when they have never run that kind of power.

nice numbers, well said...how many runs of 1/0 are you running in your aveo? Also what are you doing for your front stage or do you have your vehicle setup for spl only?

a 300A alternator isnt needed, a battery upgrade and big 3 is. A 2nd battery helps. Dont cheap out on your batteries and buy yellow tops, get good batteries like a hawker 2150 or an nsb90. I have run 5000 CLAMPED watts in my aveo on a single battery with 10 runs (150 ft) of 1/0ga wire. If you know what your doing and you do it right you dont need all that extra like HO alternators and battery banks unless you plan on demoing your vehicle at shows.

My front stage has a concept neodynium component set. 5.25 mids in the doors and tweeters in the pillars.

What alot of you guys dont understand is that even though you wire your subs to 1 ohm your NOT getting your amps 1 ohm rating. Your getting closer to the amps 4 ohm rating due to impedance rise. The only way to get the full potential from your amp is to wire well below 1 ohm starting. When i was getting 4975 watts measured from my atomic 5kw my starting impedance was 0.25 ohm. After rise it was seeing .8 ohm. So if you understand impedance rise you will see why you dont need all that extra stuff when your wiring to your amps rated impedance.

Im not saying i didnt draw ALOT of amps making that power, i did, but i also have a battery capable of 5000 SCA of output. what im saying is if your not wired so low that your impedance AFTER rise is at your amps rating, your not going to be making anywhere near rated power at wired impedance. Music almost NEVER produces rated power as there are too many peaks and valley's in the frequency range for an amplifier to make maximum power for very long. If you know the variables of real world as opposed to theory you will never go wrong.
