I listen to more metal than anything, so I decided to go with 10's. Not really into the spl aspect for my lil beast

I actually just bought a ported box for 2-10's. I am going to aim the front of the box upwards toward the ceiling. Apperantly it has the proper specs for type r's...deep box.

The 2 Alpine PDX4.100's are on their way as we speak. I will be ordering the PDX1.1000 once they arrive.
I like the fact that the PDX series can all stack on top of one another to save space (and as we all know, space is a major issue in these cars lol)

Im still up in the air about the makes I want to go with for the highs. I kind of wanted to have the sets of 6x9's and the component set up front to match brands.

Hey Don, have you heard much about the Kole KCELL's? I was considering picking up a KCELL800 on top of the alternator and Kenetik1400.

thsoe batteries are good but you should look into an NSB70 with automotive terminals or if you wanna go big nsb90. Kinetic make amazing 16v batteries but leave a bit to be desired on their 12v line. You can find the nsb70 for less than 200 bucks.

Man, I called East Hamilton Radio today to find out the price of either a Kinetik HC2400 or 16V. They want $589 and up  . I think I will take the route you mentioned

why do you need that much power? i dont get it.. the 1.1000 will probably over power the 10s you got and why do you need 2- 4.100s? and thats not really enough power draw to require an extra battery either if you really think you need one just get a small kinetic 600... if your not going SPL and only really playing hardcore there isnt a lot of draw on anything... im going to run a soundstream 1.2000 and a soundstream 4.440 and only use my stock battery and a kinetic 800 for extra juice..

As for the 1.1000 over powering the 10" type Rs i doubt it theyre rated at 500rms each.

I want to upgrade the alternator and battery because the fusing on the amps equals out to 200 amps alone. I will be using this set-up for daily commute, which means 1-2 hours of steady pounding. I want everything to be loud and crisp/undistorted, and the 6x9's alone will need every watt from one of the 4.100's. I dont listen to just metal, I also listen to Gabber/Speedcore and stuff like ICP and Twiztid. As for the Type R's, I was actually considering switching to RE's for sound quality and durability. I want this to be something that is all said and done once installed, not needing to replace things that died from overlooking stuff :?
