Thinking of getting these and I would really appreciate some input or suggestions for better sound and durability.

That's some serious money. But I don't know much about speakers etc.

Might be too much if you are using close to stock power? Or the stock head unit?

Yep. I was going to be getting an Alpine PDX 4.100 for 2 sets of the 6x9's, and another of the same amp for the 6 1/2 set and the Infinity 4x6's I already have. Should sound ok.

What didn't you like about the Polk's you had Denis?

i think the infinity has better highs, but it does not over power the rest of the sounds

Hmmm, the Kappa series seems reasonably priced. Its a toss up between Polk Audio, Infinity and MB Quartz now. Fortunately I have a few more weeks before the nice weather to look into the brands before purchasing

polk has amazing sound quality stuff.. ive ran my 2 polk 12" subs very very hard and long and they still sound great no matter what and have a very versitile range of sound.. with that said they are also quite expencive and maybe not worth that much.. BUT if you got money in your pocket burning a hole and you want good sound.. go nuts bro

as for mounting depth make a 1" spacer and use self tapping screws and youll be alright...

have a plan on where you want to put everything before you go and order them cause you dont want to go and but them thinking the tweeters will fit in your pillar and have them be too deep to fit for example..

good luck im sure you wont be upset with the choice
