Well this weekend (Sept.19th) I’m installing my new car stereo.
I finally got my in-dash car entertainment system that I bought on EBay.

· Double DIN mounting
· WMA/MP4/MP3/DVD/SVCD/VCD/CDR/CDRW & SDVD compatible
· 6.5” Touch-screen TFT wide-screen active matrix display
· Resolution: 1200 x 234 pixels
· Brightness: 600 NITS
· On screen display
· NTSC/PAL compatible monitor
· PLL synthesized AM/FM tuner
· Switch able USA/Europe radio frequencies
· 30 Station presets 18FM/12AM
· RDS display
· Separate bass and treble
· Balance and fader controls
· Mute function
· Intro scan
· Last position memory
· 1-Bit D/A converter
· 8 X over sampling
· ESP (anti-skip mechanism)
· Dual Audio stereo RCA outputs
· Audio stereo/Video RCA output
· Audio stereo/Video RCA input
· Rear view camera RCA input with orange trigger wire
· Wireless remote control
· Output power: 80w x 4 channels
Price was $180.00, Shipping was $44.00, and Duty was $28.00 US.
A similar unit at Future shop here in Ontario is selling for $600.00.

I will add some pics of the install on Sunday night (Sept.20th).

Well my weekend stereo install went totally south. Ended up that the adapters from FutureShop were all the wrong type and they didn’t have the right ones at all for 2009’s.
So I had to order the right ones from a local car audio installer. The parts will not be in until Tue. 22nd. and the install kit (antenna adapter, face plate and wiring harness adapter) only works for the 2009 Aveo5 and G3.

i dont understand that last part, if it only works for the aveo5 and g3, that is what you have, besides that the sedan has the same dash.

there has been quite some difficulty in this though, maybe when you get your kit, you could post the part number so i can add it the the FAQ

That was the problem, the 2009 Aveo5 and G3 are one of a kind fit. I will past up the part #'s when I get the kit.

Well I got the stereo in!!!!!!
The kit works with a little mod, was for the 2008's.
This is the Dask mounting kit that fit like a glove: Metra 99-3306 Double or singal DIM Cherolet Aveo 2007, Pontiac G3 2007
Wiring harness adapter: American International GWH-406 2006-08, you will just need to run a separate line to your acc. connection on the factory harness.
Antenna adaptor: Pro-link 40-DR10 CR-6
