yeah i cam in 5th from last out of 50some cars. the aveo just isn't on the same level as most of the cars that show up for autocross. But the fact that you can do it and DO do it says more about you and your car than most people. i got some thumbs up from other drives because of that

i was actually suprised as i was expecting to see more civics out there but there was only 2 newer SI's and an older tracked out hatch ...i guess they are too busy cruising the streets late at night to care about autox
and ya definitely man coilovers would be tight literally hit up that autox its tons of fun

Re: Arizona autox
That was very good for you first time need a little track time for sure. Yes you will have to work on some wider 14" tires rims maybe some alum rims. So how ride feel now . did you put the whole kit on.?

oh ya definitely some more track time would be great. i am currently still in winter mode so thats why i stuck with the 14's. i have a set of 16" konig heliums that i am going to paint white and will definitely be using for the next event
and yes i do currently have the whole UR package. as for the ride after all the UR parts. it feels really solid through the turns. you can see in the pics the body roll i'm still getting, but i think that is mostly due do my worn struts/shocks. my right turns get more roll than my left turns . if i can get a better setup along those lines i think that will definitely tune it out. other than that though i enjoy the stiffer ride and tighter turns

i will have a solution for this by end of spring at the latest, but the implications for autocross are high, if your seriously classed.

sounds awesome
for classing i would be allowed coilovers . i think that would definitely clean things up. other cars in the Street Prepared classes weren't too far out of reach
how are things coming along as of now. any updates on this project so far???

Re: Arizona autox
my second set of spindles i on order. and i have three sets of coil overs sitting here. just need weather to cooperate and have time to work to line up on the same weekend, which is why i said spring, warm weather without snow) besides most people around here including me dont want to put coil overs on in the middle of winter
the reason i said autocross implications, is my set up is going to relocate the rear spring to the strut for more adjustment. Relocation of suspension parts unless approved by scca (like front coil overs on a mustang) puts the car into a high class, like race prepared 2 or something crazy like that. (not sure really, it is up to the interpretation of the tech inspector on guy told me that, have checked the log book).
